Terms of Service

These terms cover the websites, hosting, content and related services provided by RTaylor Digital, a business operated by Richard Taylor in Boise, Idaho. They are written in plain English on purpose. Where a written proposal or agreement you signed says something different, that document wins.

What you are buying

A monthly plan covers a custom-built website plus the ongoing services listed for that plan — hosting, maintenance, edits, and depending on the plan, written content, an AI assistant, review requests and campaigns. Plan contents and prices are on the pricing section of this site and may change for new customers; your price does not change during a term without your agreement.

Billing, term and renewal

• Plans are billed monthly in advance.
• Starter and Pro run a 12-month initial term, then continue month to month until cancelled. Growth is month to month from the start.
• Before your initial term rolls over, I will email you a reminder that it is about to continue month to month, with the price and instructions for cancelling. You will not be renewed silently.
• Any build fee is charged once, at signing, and is stated in writing before you pay.

How to cancel

Email richard@rtaylordigital.com with the word “cancel”. That is the whole process.

• No phone call, no retention conversation, no form to complete.
• I will confirm in writing within two business days.
• Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Your site stays up until then.
• If you are inside an initial term, the remaining months of that term are still owed — that term is what pays off a custom build you did not pay for up front. I will tell you the exact figure when you ask, before you commit to anything.

Cancelling is deliberately no harder than signing up. If you ever find it is, tell me and I will fix it.

What you own

• Always yours. Your domain, logo, photographs, written content and customer data. The domain is registered in your name from day one and stays yours whatever happens between us. Handed over on request, no conditions.
• Yours after the initial term. The website itself. Twelve months is how a custom build gets paid off monthly instead of up front.
• Stops when you stop. Hosting, the AI assistant, edits, monitoring and reporting are ongoing services rather than deliverables, so they end with the subscription.

What I need from you

I cannot do this work alone. You agree to give me the content, photographs, access and answers the work needs, and to have the right to use whatever you send me. If a project stalls for more than 60 days waiting on you, monthly billing continues — the hosting and services are still running.

What I do not promise

I cannot promise specific Google rankings, and nobody honestly can. Search engines do not sell or guarantee positions, and any agency telling you otherwise is either guessing or lying. What I promise is the work: pages written around real searches, the technical groundwork done properly, and plain reporting on what moved.

Where a written guarantee is offered on a specific engagement, its exact terms are set out in that proposal and those terms control.

Acceptable use

I will not build or host sites for anything illegal, deceptive, or designed to harm people. I can decline or end work that falls into that, and I would refund anything paid for work not yet done.

Liability

I will do this work carefully and to a professional standard. But this is a small business, so my total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid me in the 12 months before it arose, and I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Privacy

How I handle information collected through this website is described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho. If something goes wrong, my strong preference is that you email me and we sort it out directly before anyone involves anybody else.

Changes

I may update these terms; the date at the top will change. For existing customers, material changes take effect at your next renewal, not mid-term.
